Ahlergance Bridal Studio Photo Shoot

Ima Ahler is an extremely talented new and upcoming bridal wear designer and wedding planner to watch from Tauranga and organised this photo shoot with us a few months back. Knowing we were fully in mid winter, it was a nervous watch of the weather all this week, fingers crossed for at least no rain and a bit of sunshine.



Kick off was 5.30am with our 4 models, hair and make up team and 2 very attending men to help us carry the equipment from location to location. The forecast still was not looking great for the day and at 5.30am it was still too black outside to tell what might unfold. Ima made our job extremely easy, doing a fantastic job of keeping the girls on schedule, assisting hair and makeup and keeping everyone fed and watered throughout the day.



A 12 hour photo shoot, mid winter, exposing all limbs to nature is no easy task, and we were extremely impressed with our 4 eager models, not hearing a single wince of pain all day. I think the girls were exposed to the fact that what appears on camera to be glamorous and beauty is not always the case and behind the set as in these blog photos highlights is the cold, dark industrial settings in which the girls must change their outfits several times and wait lengthy periods for their photo time.



We had a few giggles throughout the day with several passers by adding their 'congratulations' to the girls and just not realising there were 4 brides and no bridal party/guests around to suggest it was a real wedding but with no grooms!!!
