Freestyle Ad Shoot (Bonebreaking)

We were approached by Freestyle Watches to put together an ad for them that included sponsored rider Cale Tolley in the ad. It didn't take much persuasion to get Cale on the ramp and pushing his skating to the limits to get the best shot possible. Here are some of the shots that we got from the session.

Unfortunately things went pear shaped when he just pushed himself that little bit too much (you know he's no spring chicken any more).



By far the biggest air off the mini ramp of the day and thought he had managed to pull it off but wasnt the case. He slid out and down went the hand with an immediate cracking and breaking of the arm. Not for the faint hearted to watch. SOS services most definitely required and the para's were called. Thought Mt Maunganui would be a relatively fast place to be serviced by the ambulance but not so. They couldnt' decide if there were other priorities higher up the list but eventually they appeared.



So off cale went and the result was a severely shattered bone in his wrist. 3 days later with one metal plate holding it all together, Cale was out and on the blower to ACC (making the most of acc before it gets shut down forever!!)
